Fall Opt-out cheques will be mailed out by the end of March. This will also include opt out cheques for students who started in January 2012. You should have received an application number after you opted-out. That is your confirmation that your opt-out went through, and, if there are any discrepancies, please send an email to: health@utgsu.ca and refer to the confirmation number and your student number.
Students starting grad school in January can opt in dependents or opt out if they have comparable coverage between January 4th-February 3rd, 2012. To opt-out (if you already have comparable coverage) go here. To opt-in dependents, please go here.
Students (and their dependents) have now all been activated on the Greenshield System. Please go ahead and submit your claims (coverage was effective September 1st). If you had submitted your claims already and they were rejected by Greenshield, please call them at 1-888-711-1119 and ask them to re-process your claims.
