About the Committee

The Sustainability Committee works on many different projects throughout the year, including: lobbying the administration to follow more sustainable practices, participating in sustainable and environmental events and festivals on campus and increasing awareness of sustainable projects and issues on campus.

Campaigns for the 2012-2013 academic year may include continuing the fight for increased access to public water; increasing green spaces on campus; lobbying for the implementation of a university-wide organic waste collection system; supporting course unions and department in adopting sustainability policies; and supporting urban and on-campus agriculture projects.

This committee is open to all members and its work will strive to make U of T a more sustainable community.
