About the Committee

The GSU lobbies within the University and its system of governance such as the Governing Council, U of T’s highest decision-making body, and its boards and committees. Decisions affecting graduate students, including issues of student representation and the University’s student Code of Conduct are made at these different levels of governance. The Governing Council, its boards, and committees, establishes policies that govern graduate academic programmes and graduate student conditions.

This committee is open to all members and its work will include advancing and defending student rights and interests. The committee will also identify short- and long-term strategies in addressing issues.
