INFORMATION FOR COURSE UNIONS & COURSE UNION REPS
This manual was sent out to all course unions in September. If you did not receive yours, please contact Charlotte Reeve to confirm we have your correct address. Additional copies will also be available at the first GSU Council meeting. It is also available for download below.
The Course Union Manual introduces our course unions and their representatives to the structure of the GSU, including Council meetings, meeting rules, creating a course union constitution, financial obligations of a course union, and a calendar of Council meetings and deadlines for the year.

All Councillors are expected to introduce themselves to Fieldworker Charlotte Reeve early in the year, and to subscribe to the GSU Council email listserve, where much Council business is announced. Please contact Wendy Crolla to sign up the the listserve. Once subscribed, it is your responsibility to send the weekly email digest, in its entirety, as well as any relevant emails from the GSU Council listserve to all students in your department.

Gina Trubiani, a former GSU President, composed a Powerpoint presentation introducing students to Grad school at UofT as well as to our services/campaigns/student intiatives/Executive etc. Please take the time to present this material at your upcoming Course Union meeting. All would benefit from this material, not just the incoming students. A projector would be required, however if you do not have access to a projector please print out the slides and hand them out.
The material is fairly straightforward, however if you would like any further information or even some help presenting the info, please feel free to contact us at info@utgsu.ca
