Hot out of the news-oven, here is the following announcement from Harvest Noon:
Hello friends of Harvest Noon! We are so excited to announce our Grand Re-Opening on Monday June 25th!
We’ve just hired three wonderful staff people and can’t wait for you to meet them! They will be helping us cook up some awesome summer dishes making use of the best of this season’s local produce, which means fresh greens, tomatoes, asparagus, garlic scapes, and more!
Also, even with our new staff, we still need volunteers to help with cooking, cash, and serving, so if you’re interested, please head on over to our volunteers page for more info.
Our hours will return to normal: Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We look forwarding to seeing you again!
About Harvest Noon:
Harvest Noon Café provides a relaxed and inclusive gathering space for both U of T students and members of the wider community to eat, cook, learn about, and express their love for food. As a café we aim to serve locally, sustainably, and organically produced food and to support principles of food justice and accessibility. Harvest Noon is a project of the Toronto Sustainable Food Co-operative, an organization initiated by members of the student group Hot Yam! in the Fall of 2011. By building relationships with local producers and like-minded groups, we provide opportunities and support for folks interested in fostering good, clean and fair food alternatives. We are made possible by the continued support of the University of Toronto Graduate Students’ Union.
