1. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is covered in your UTGSU Health and Dental Insurance plan. The coverage is for 120 days of each trip. Students who are leaving on a recognized academic exchange are also covered for the duration of their exchange and for another 120 days before and after their approved exchange. They must remain Members of the UTGSU, pay fees to University of Toronto including the Health Plan fee and keep their provincial health-care coverage. For more information, please view your benefits package on www.studentcare.ca. If you require additional help, email the Health and Dental Office at health@utgsu.ca.

2. Health & Dental Insurance Plan Coverage After Convocation
If you are on the UTGSU Health and Dental Insurance Plan (i.e. if you had paid the Winter fees), and you are graduating in June, you will still be covered under the plan until August 31, 2018. For more information, please view your benefits package on www.studentcare.ca. If you require additional help, email the Health and Dental Office at health@utgsu.ca.

3. UTGSU Summer Office Hours
The UTGSU office and HDI office will be reverting to a summer schedule from May 1st, 2018 to August 11, 2018. Our summer hours will be Mondays to Wednesdays from 10 am to 3 pm and Thursdays from 12 pm to 3 pm. The UTGSU office and HDI office will be closed on Fridays, however, folks will have the option of booking appointments with staff. Please email info@utgsu.ca.

4. UTGSU Gym Summer Schedule
The UTGSU Gym summer schedule is now available on our website. Reservations for the month of June will be taken on May 30, 2018 beginning at 10 AM by emailing gym@utgsu.ca or by calling 416-978-8464. Check out the UTGSU Gym Summer Schedule Page for more information.

5. UTGSU Conference Bursary: Now Accepting for Spring 2018 Cycle
The UTGSU is now accepting applications for the Spring 2018 Conference Bursary. The UTGSU Conference Bursary was created to assist students with financial expenses that arise from attending academic conferences. For more information, visit: 2018/2019 Spring Conference Bursary

6. All-Candidates Forum @ U of T
***Calling All Students***. Join the All Candidates Forum at U of T happening on May 30 at Sidney Smith, 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM (100 St George St, Toronto, Ontario, Rm. 2101). Hear from candidates, talk about key issues that matter to students, and have your voice heard! Candidates: Jessica Bell | Ontario New Democratic Party; Jo-Ann Davis | Ontario Liberal Party; Tim Grant | Green Party of Ontario. All undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to attend. 7. UTGSU Policy & Operations Standing Committee Callout
At the beginning of the new UTGSU Executive term, we invite applications for members of the Policy & Operations Standing Committee of UTGSU Council, which oversees the Union’s legislation and governance practices. Work (meetings every 2-3 weeks and email consultations) will commence in June and will range from preparation of the POC Legislative Agenda to editorial streamlining of existing documentation, to top-level re-conceptualization in view of the Ontario Non-profit Corporation Act (ONCA). In preparing your letter of interest, please consult the POC Terms of Reference in the current Bylaw and Policy Handbook (versions February 2017), and briefly list any relevant prior experience legislating for student associations. U of T Graduate Students with an aptitude for/background in human rights and constitutional law, policy, and political philosophy are very welcome, as are those who are willing to learn from scratch. Looking for mental health services, resources, or academic supports? Need to talk to someone about your experiences of supervision? Visit the Graduate Wellness Portal, a collaboration between the University of Toronto Graduate Students’ Union (UTGSU) and the School of Graduate Studies (SGS). Access a directory of U of T and community resources, supervisor tipsheets, and FAQs. This is an evolving portal that is shaped by you!
