The UTGSU Gym is located in our building, at 16 Bancroft Ave.

Gym Bookings

The UTGSU gym can be booked for 1 hour/week by graduate students for athletics, either daily or monthly – because of the demand, only graduate students are allowed to use the space.

To make a booking, please call Heidi R. Krieger (416-978-8464) between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. If you want to book the gym for a one-hour session each week for the duration of an entire month, you must call the last Friday of the month preceding, at 10am (for January bookings, please call the third week of December). Call on time; space goes quickly.


Drop-In Activities FALL 2014

Pick-Up Basketball: Grab your running shoes and join your fellow grad students in the UTGSU gym on Thursdays from 7 – 10 PM. Balls are available at the bar. Only Graduate Students will be allowed to play pick-up sports. Have your ID available while you are here.

UTGSU Volleyball League: Monday to Wednesday Evenings
The UTGSU Volleyball League takes place from Monday to Wednesday evenings during the Fall and Winter Terms. Thursday &

Thursday and Friday Evenings:
Registered graduate students may book the UTGSU gym for basketball on Thursdays and doubles badminton on Fridays for one hour per week. Balls are available at the bar.

Daytime Bookings: 10 am to 5 pm Year Round
Daytime gym use is restricted to quiet activities such as yoga, meditation and singles badminton. Names and Student ID numbers are verified when booking.


UTGSU Gym Class Instructors Wanted

Are you an instructor for Yoga, Pilates, or any other low or non-impact athletic activity? We are looking for instructors wanting to gain some experience or who would just like to volunteer their time to teach a class during daytime hours at the UTGSU gym.
